Prepare for your 2XU race and journey beyond

 

Calling all 2XU Race participants, come join us and prepare for your best race ever! Our lead up run will help familiarise you with the final few kilometers of the actual race route. Your pacers will guide you on when to push hard, or when to adjust your pace and ensure you meet your targets! Join us to recognize the exact landmarks, every km to the finish line and build your confidence, even if your GPS watch is off.

 

Attend our hands-on running workshop, learn what the best running gait is, how to lower the risk of injuries, and how to use gravity to help you run faster with the same effort. Know the correct biomechanics of running, learn from the QnA sessions, covering shoe selection, nutrition, hydration strategies, mental toughness and motivation.

 

Choose the right session, depending on your race. Both runs start at Marina Square, your race pack collection venue

 

A goodie bag worth S$32.90 will be given to the first 30 registered workshop participants. It will contain a S$20.00 shopping voucher from Key Power International stores (no minimum purchase required), Shotz Electrolyte tablets worth $12.90.

Running workshop (fees $14 per pax)

 

Natural running – how to run stronger, healthier and faster – injury free

 

Runners will learn how to lower the risk of injuries by selecting the right footwear for your leg and foot arch type. You will learn the five elements of a biomechanically correct running gait. Practice drills to run stronger, healthier and faster, with the same effort.

About the speaker

 

Andrew Cheong is the founder and Head Coach of SSTAR.fitness, an endurance sports coaching service. Since 2010, Andrew has been dedicated to training runners of all abilities, for races ranging from 5km to the Marathon and beyond. He has a Diploma in Sports Science, coaching certifications from the Road Running Clubs of America, IAAF Track and Field and is also a FISAF personal trainer and a certified Mental Toughness Coach. Andrew has completed more than 30 marathons and Ironman races, and collected the Abbott Six Star World Marathon Major along the way. Andrew and has qualified for the prestigious Boston Marathon every year since 2010
